Google does not find my website when entering its title

I have had my website - pcbuyerbeware.co.uk - going since 2004. When I entered its title - PC Buyer Beware - in any web browser, I was shocked to discover that Google does not find the site, but its page on Facebook is found. I have looked in the html code, but cannot find out why this is the case. Any help in finding a solution would be appreciated.

Hi Eric, It is likely that Google has not indexed your site.
You can do this by adding a sitemap.xml file but you can also create your own html site map.
Another way to ensure that Google finds and indexes your website is to add it to google analytics. If you search for Google analytics it will show you what you need to do.
Google has changed this fairly recently and now has a GA4 engine ( Google Analytics 4). Google will stop providing analytics using the old system by the end of June 2023 encouraging all to use the new system.
Once in Google analytics go to the setup assistant
First you need to add a Google Tag.
Depending on how you created your site you can do this either with a website builder or CMS ( eg: Wix, Wordpress, Squarespace, Duda, etc..) or install manually.
To install manually copy the code found in Google Tag Manager specific to your site url and paste it into the html code for your website immediately after the head element.
Do this for each page that you want to monitor and analyse your traffic for. Once done allow up to 48 hours
for Google engine to scan your site.
You can manage your options in Google Analytics Tag Manager to choose your options you want recorded.
I believe that it also helps if your site has a sitemap.xml file but you can also create your own html site map.
I hope that this helps.

If Google is not finding your website when entering its title, there could be a few reasons for this. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Indexing: Make sure that your website has been indexed by Google. You can check this by searching for "site:yourwebsite.com" in the Google search bar. If no results show up or only a few pages are indexed, it means that Google has not crawled and indexed your site yet. In such cases, you can submit your website's URL to Google through the Google Search Console to request indexing.
  2. Title Tag Optimization: Ensure that your website's title tag is optimized and relevant to your content. The title tag appears as the clickable headline in search engine results. It should accurately describe the content of your website and include relevant keywords. Check your website's HTML code to verify that the title tag is properly implemented.
  3. Meta Description: The meta description is a short snippet that summarizes the content of a web page. While it doesn't directly impact search rankings, it can influence click-through rates. Make sure your meta description is engaging, compelling, and accurately represents the content of your website. While Google may not always display the meta description you provide, having a well-crafted one increases the chances of it being used.
  4. Robots.txt: Check your website's robots.txt file to ensure that it is not blocking search engine crawlers from accessing and indexing your site. The robots.txt file is used to communicate instructions to web robots or crawlers about which pages to crawl or avoid. Make sure that the relevant directories and pages of your site are not blocked in the robots.txt file.
  5. Quality Backlinks: Backlinks from reputable and relevant websites can improve your website's visibility in search results. Make an effort to build high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites in your industry. These links act as signals to search engines that your website is trustworthy and valuable.
  6. Google Search Console: Use the Google Search Console to monitor your website's performance, index status, and any errors or issues that may affect its visibility. It provides valuable insights into how Google sees your website and can help identify and resolve potential problems.
  7. Content Quality and Relevance: Ensure that your website's content is of high quality, relevant to your target audience, and aligned with the keywords you want to rank for. Create valuable and engaging content that users are more likely to find and share.
  8. Patience: It can take some time for Google to discover and rank new websites. Depending on various factors, including the competitiveness of your industry and the frequency of your website updates, it may take weeks or even months for your website to start appearing in search results consistently.
Remember that search engine optimization (SEO) is an ongoing process. Continuously work on improving your website's content, technical aspects, and online presence to increase its visibility in search results.

hi dear
Firstly, it is important to ensure that your website is indexed by Google. You can do this by submitting your website's URL to Google Search Console and requesting a crawl.

If Google doesn't find your website when entering its title, there could be several reasons. First, ensure your website is indexed by Google by submitting a sitemap through Google Search Console. Check for typos or variations in the title. Optimize your website's SEO by using relevant keywords in the title and throughout the content. Ensure your website is mobile-friendly, loads quickly, and has quality backlinks. Additionally, create high-quality, relevant content. It may take some time for Google to crawl and index your site, so be patient and continue to improve your website's SEO to enhance its visibility in search results.
